1. User Agreement
By using Nikah Connect, you agree to abide by these Terms of Use and all applicable laws of India. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our website. Continued use of the platform after any update to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our services, in line with applicable Indian law governing digital consent. By creating an account, you affirm that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is true, accurate, and not misleading. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you separately satisfy any legal age, consent, or eligibility requirements that apply to marriage under the personal, civil, or religious law applicable to you; Nikah Connect makes no representation regarding, and bears no responsibility for, your legal capacity to marry. We reserve the right to request proof of identity or age at any time, and to suspend or terminate accounts where such proof is not provided or is found to be false.

3. Account Responsibilities
a. Account Information: You are solely responsible for maintaining the accuracy, currency, and confidentiality of your account information and login credentials. Any activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility, whether or not authorized by you.

b. Single Account: You may not create or maintain more than one active profile, or create a profile on behalf of another person without their knowledge and consent (except where explicitly permitted, such as a family member creating a profile with the individual’s consent).

c. User Conduct: You are solely responsible for your interactions and communications with other users, on or off the platform. You agree not to engage in harassment, discrimination, impersonation, solicitation of money or gifts, fraud, or any offensive, abusive, or unlawful content or behavior. Violation of this clause may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund or notice.

4. Communication and Sharing of Personal Information
Nikah Connect provides tools for users to communicate with one another on the platform. However, we do not verify, monitor, or control what personal information users choose to exchange with each other, whether through our chat feature or otherwise.

By using Nikah Connect, you expressly acknowledge and agree that:

a. Any decision to share personal contact details — including but not limited to your phone number, WhatsApp number, email address, social media handles, home address, or any other identifying information — with another user is made entirely at your own discretion and risk.

b. Nikah Connect does not endorse, encourage, or take responsibility for the exchange of such information, and bears no liability whatsoever for any consequence arising from it, including but not limited to harassment, fraud, financial loss, identity misuse, stalking, or any other harm resulting from information you voluntarily shared with another user.

c. You will not hold Nikah Connect, its owners, employees, or affiliates liable for any dispute, loss, or damage arising from communications or information exchanged between you and another user, whether on or off the platform.

d. We strongly advise against sharing sensitive personal information with anyone you have not independently verified, and encourage caution at every stage of communication.

5. Site Owner Rights
a. Content Monitoring: We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor, review, edit, or remove any user-generated content, including posts, photos, messages, and profile details, at our sole discretion, without prior notice.

b. Profile Editing and Suspension: We may edit, restrict, suspend, or permanently remove any profile that contains incorrect, misleading, fraudulent, or prohibited information, or that otherwise violates these Terms, without liability to you.

6. Intellectual Property
a. Ownership: All intellectual property rights, including trademarks, logos, design, and content on Nikah Connect, are owned by us or licensed to us. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any of our intellectual property without prior written consent.

b. User Content License: By posting content on Nikah Connect, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display that content for the purpose of operating and promoting our services.

7. Privacy and Data Protection
a. Privacy Policy: Our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms, outlines how we collect, use, store, and disclose your personal information in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, which came into force on 13 November 2025 with certain obligations phasing in over the following months.

b. Data Security: We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information. However, no system is completely secure, and by using Nikah Connect, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of transmitting data over the internet, and agree that we shall not be liable for unauthorized access resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

8. No Guarantee of Outcome
Nikah Connect is a platform that facilitates introductions between users. We do not guarantee the accuracy of any user’s profile information, the authenticity, intentions, or character of any user, the success of any match, or any particular outcome from your use of the platform, including but not limited to engagement, marriage, or the safety of any offline interaction. Any decision to communicate with, meet, or enter into a relationship with another user is made entirely at your own discretion and risk.

9. Grievance Redressal
In accordance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, we have designated a Grievance Officer to address complaints regarding content or conduct on the platform.

We will acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days of receipt, or such other timeline as prescribed under applicable law.

10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Nikah Connect at any time, with or without notice, and with or without cause, including but not limited to violation of these Terms. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such suspension or termination. You may also request deletion of your account at any time, subject to our data retention obligations under applicable law.

11. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
a. “As-Is” Basis: Nikah Connect is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

b. Intermediary Status: Nikah Connect acts as an intermediary as defined under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and is entitled to safe harbor protection under Section 79 of that Act in respect of user-generated content, subject to our compliance with the due diligence requirements under applicable IT Rules.

c. Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Indian law, in no event shall Nikah Connect, its owners, employees, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or reputation, arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, your interactions with other users, or any information shared on or off the platform, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

d. Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nikah Connect, its owners, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with any other user.

12. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms of Use at any time, with changes effective upon posting to this page. It is your responsibility to review the current Terms periodically. Your continued use of Nikah Connect following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable by a court or authority of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of Nikah Connect shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Srinagar, J&K. 

15. Entire Agreement
These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Nikah Connect regarding your use of the platform, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
